Unfortunately, we are going to have to close intakes for the rest of 2025.
It’s not just because of the holiday season — it’s because of the types of kittens currently in our care and the amount of time each one will need before they’re healthy, socialized, and ready for adoption. Most of them are at least a month (or more) from being ready.
Here is what our current intake situation looks like:
• 6 kittens who will not be available for adoption until January
• 4 kittens currently quarantined with ringworm for a minimum of 3 weeks
• 4 new kittens who are only 3 weeks old, so they’re at least 1.5 months away
• 2 who are almost ready in 3 weeks
• 2 kittens who are feral and will need significant time and work
• 2 kittens waiting to go on transport in December or January
• And this doesn’t even include our wonderful foster families caring for the slightly older kittens who are available for adoption right now
The Kitten Cradle is currently caring for 33 kittens.
It’s a one-woman show supported by about 5 incredible foster families. Saying “no” is incredibly hard — but getting these babies adopted, healthy, strong, and safely into the right homes has to come first.
Thank you for understanding, supporting, and standing with us so we can continue doing this the right way.
