Our Foster-to-Adopt Program is a perfect way to find out if you and a kitten are a match made in meow-gic.
How It Works
The Foster-to-Adopt Program is a three-week trial period that allows potential adopters to welcome a kitten into their home and experience life as a cat guardian—without the immediate pressure of permanent adoption. During this time, you’ll get to know your kitten’s personality, routines, and needs, all while having the full support of our team.
At the end of the three weeks, you’ll have a better sense of whether this kitten is the right fit for your family. If it’s not, no worries—we’ll welcome the kitten back into our care with more insight, photos, and helpful information for future placement. And if it is a match? Congratulations—you’re ready to finalize the adoption and make it official!
Who It’s For
This program is especially helpful for:
•People new to cat care who have always wanted a kitten but need a little extra guidance to feel confident.
•Families with existing pets who want to see how a new kitten will fit into the home before making a permanent decision.
•Anyone without a current vet—we ask that you establish care with a veterinarian during the three-week trial. Making and attending a vet appointment during this period shows your readiness to provide long-term care and is a required step in the program.

You won’t be going through this alone. One of our dedicated Foster-to-Adopt Coordinators will be available to assist with any questions, tips for introductions, and general support throughout the entire process.
